Geomechanics

The development and application of all kinds of calculation methodologies, ranging from rules of thumb to advanced analytical and numerical methods, often applied to soil mechanics. There are excellent facilities for experimental studies, including the use of a geotechnical centrifuge, for measuring and characterizing soil behaviour.
