Welcome to the website of the Chair of Underground Space Technology, Delft University of Technology. Here you can find information about our activities, like education and research. It's also possible to take a look in our digital library of books, videos and CD-ROM's.

Middelbare school

This part is about projects for high school students. Unfortunately this information is only available in dutch.

Het gebied van ondergronds bouwen wordt steeds belangrijker doordat er boven de grond steeds minder ruimte beschikbaar is. Daarnaast is ondergronds bouwen erg interessant omdat er veel verschillende specialismen nodig zijn om constructies onder de grond te bouwen (denk aan bijvoorbeeld funderingen, betonbouw, grondwater enzovoorts). Overal ter wereld worden steeds meer ondergrondse projecten bedacht en uitgevoerd, er worden dan ook constant nieuwe technieken bedacht en getest. De leerstoel Ondergronds Bouwen neemt deel aan internationale evenementen om kennis uit te wisselen met experts uit andere landen en nieuwe ontwikkelingen op de voet te volgen.

Ben je bezig met een opdracht of profielwerkstuk, die te maken heeft met ondergronds bouwen mag je ons altijd mailen om meer informatie te krijgen.

Are you working on your thesis and do you want information about Underground Space Technology? Then you are more than welcome to use the knowledge we have available.

In our library there are books dealing with a wide range of subjects and new developments. Furthermore we also have journals, videos and DVD's dealing with Underground Space Technology.

If you are stuck on a subject dealing with Underground Space Technology, please also contact us. We will study your problem and offer suggestions where possible.

Try to be as specific as possible when you ask us a question. Find the preconditions that belong to your problem. These often show what is possible and what is not.
